Monitoring and assistance in ambient intelligence systems

Monitoring and assistance tasks are relevant for various domains, e.g., ambient assisted living and production line control. In this paper we present our monitoring and assistance component MonA, which includes a hybrid reasoner with a self-adaptation of proposed and running treatments using information from the situation monitoring. Our MonA component has demonstrated the feasibility of the approach in an ambient assisted living lab.
