Fabrikinnovation durch Technologietransfer

A medium sized information technology and communications company was given the opportunity of a completely new start on a new site. The company carried out a thorough innovation of products, equipment and processes in a project funded by the Federal Ministry of Research and Technology as part of the "Work and Technology" (Arbeit und Technik) programme. This report describes the adaption of the former East German company to the conditions imposed in a market economy. In contrast to similar projects in this case the complete existing work-force could be maintained.
