Integriertes Facility Management System

The Facility Management, which was established in the USA, combines planning, management and supervision of the whole infrastructure of a company. Therfore, various kinds of information systems exist worldwide to support users in special parts of Facility Management. By reason of the history of different providers of so called Facility Management Systems in Germany, today these systems cover only single parts of the functionality which is needed for Facility Management. However, an Integrated Facility Management System contains, as promoted by GEFMA (German Facility Management Association), the integration of planning, realization, management and controlling of the whole estates, infrastructures, Buildings, investments, plants and facilities of an enterprise. In the following the fundamental requirements on Facility Management Systems and a rough concept for an Integrated Facility Management System will be described.
