Title

Hardware-in-the-loop development and testing of new pitch control algorithms

Abstract
The report describes the setup of a hardware-in-the-loop test-bed for pitch drives, allowing for testing of newly developed pitch control algorithms under realistic conditions. Especially pitch control algorithms aiming at reduction of structural loads by periodic (individual or collective) pitch angle variations are investigated. A real-time simulation environment for computing the dynamic load torques applied to the pitch drives are presented. First simulation results are given.
