Title

Particle growth by coalescence and agglomeration

Abstract
In this note a method is presented to calculate the size of the primary particle of agglomerates formed in high-temperature processes. It is assumed that the finite coalescence time determines the final size of the particle. Results are presented in dimensionless form for two different fusion mechanisms: solid state volume diffusion and viscous flow coalescence.
