Modellbasierte Diagnose von diskreten ereignisorientierten Systemen am Beispiel einer Montageanlage für Greiferbacken

The paper describes a system for model-based diagnosis that was developed during the project X2 within the Special Collaboration Program on AI and Knowledge Based Systems (SFB 314). The focus of this project was to apply model-based knowledge representation and reasoning to the domain of PLC controlled assembly equipment. The approach of the project was to model the behaviour of discrete eventoriented systems with a new modeling construct called eventmodel. An advantage of this kind of modeling is the similarity of the eventmodels to the PLC program of the assembly machine. The system was tested using examples from an assembly line for robot grabs.
