Supply standards

Among others, Semiconductor and Flat Panel industry have developed a framework of standards over the last decades. This framework is under constant development and fosters the competitiveness of these industries. In Photovoltaic industry an ongoing discussion is being held, if standards in materials and manufacturing could also be beneficial for this industry. This presentation will highlight the different aspects involved in implementing standards in the Photovoltaic industry. Areas of application as well as advantages and disadvantages are described. Requirements for setting up a framework of standards are presented.

Die Halbleiter- und Flachbildschirmindustrie haben einen umfassenden Satz an Standards in den letzten Dekaden entwickelt. Diese Standardisierung befindet sich in konstanter Weiterentwicklung und fördert die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit dieser Industrien. In der Photovoltaikindustrie wird seit längerem eine Diskussion geführt, ob Standards für Material und in der Fertigung für diese Industrie auch vorteilhaft sein könnten. Der vorliegende Vortrag hebt die unterschiedlichen Aspekte hervor, die bei der Einführung von Standards in der Photovoltaikindustrie mit berücksichtigt werden sollten. Bereiche der Anwendung, sowie Vor- und Nachteile von Standards werden beschrieben. Weiterhin werden die Anforderungen für die Initiierung von Standards dargestellt.
