Abstract
The retention of biocatalysts in bioreactor by immobilization of whole cells promises to improve the economy of biotechnological processes. Immobilization of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens DSM 7 onto porous glass particles was achieved in fluidized bed reactor (FBR). Productivities of amylase are compared using batch culture and continuous culture (CSTR and FBR).
