Title
Anrissermittlung mit dem Gleichstrom-Potentialsonden-Verfahren
Other Title
Crack initiation detection using the DC-potential-drop technique
Abstract
During the application of the DC-potential-drop technique in crack initiation detection very often an influence of changing temperatures on the measured potentials had to be observed. This is not only due to the thermocouple effect, that can be eliminated by a zero-current calibration measurement, but also due to a changing of the specific resistance of the material. In the present publication a principle is outlined, how the errors due to temperature dependent material's behaviour in the DC-technique can be suppressed using a computer based online data aquisition package, that is able to reduce the influence of temperature.
