    Large areas of human problem-solving processes defy computer-based automation. Based on an analysis of the changing cognitive demands in todays working conditions, Arbeitsinformatik (cognitive engineering) is developing the concept of an assisting problem- interface. The goal of this interdisciplinary research and development approach is the conception of tools for a comprehensive support of cognitive problem- solving processes.

    Große Anteile menschlicher Problemlösungsprozesse entziehen sich der rechnerunterstützten Automatisierung. Ausgehend von einer Analyse des Wandels der kognitiven Anforderungen in der Arbeitswelt wird in der Arbeitsinformatik das Konzept der assistierenden Problemschnittstelle entwickelt. Das Ziel dieses interdisziplinären Forschungs- und Entwicklungsansatzes ist die Entwicklung von Hilfsmitteln zur ganzheitlichen Unterstützung kognitiver Problemlösungsprozesse.
