Röntgenquelle mit Modul und Detektor für optische Strahlung

2012 , Keeve, Erwin , Stopp, F. , Käseberg, Marc , Engel, S. , Uhlmann, Eckart

The present invention relates to an X-ray source (2) for irradiating an object (8) to be imaged with X-ray radiation, wherein the X-ray source (2) is moveable into a plurality of defined recording positions relative to the object (8) to be imaged. A module (4, 5, 13) is arranged directly on the X-ray source, said module being designed to project a marking onto the object (8) to be imaged and/or to check a position of the object (8) to be imaged and/or of the marking, wherein the module for checking the position of the object (8) to be imaged and/or of the marking comprises a detector (5) for optical radiation. In addition, the present invention relates to an X-ray device (6) comprising the X-ray source (2) and a method for using the X-ray device (6).

Quality evaluation of image recording strategies for limited angle tomography

2010 , Stopp, F. , Winne, C. , Jank, E. , Keeve, E.

In this paper we propose a new method for evaluating image recording strategies for limited angle tomography. In limited angle tomography exact three-dimensional (3-D) reconstruction is not achievable. With this method a metric for the reachable reconstruction quality by defined X-ray source trajectories is calculated. The result of our method is independent of reconstruction algorithms. Our approach is based on the gradients of the scanned volume and their grade of determinability. Compared to simulated reconstruction accuracy with simultaneous algebraic reconstruction techniques, the method of evaluation shows the same dependencies on X-ray source trajectories. By using the proposed method different source trajectories for a limited angle range are comparable with respect to the reachabl e reconstruction quality.

2012 , Keeve, E. , Engel, S. , Stopp, F. , Käseberg, Marc , Uhlmann, Eckart

The invention relates to a detector assembly (1) for recording x-ray images of an object (29) to be imaged, said object being located on a support plate of a table, wherein the table has at least one adjustable support foot for moving the support plate, comprising: a detector (12) for detecting x-radiation and a positioning device (13) for moving the detector (12) relative to the object (29), wherein the detector (12) can be moved into a plurality of recording positions that are spatially fixed with respect to the object (29) and the positioning device can be fastened to the support foot in such a way that the positioning device is moved together with the support plate and the positioning device has at least one articulated arm, which can be moved with respect to at least one axis of rotation (99, 100, 101) and/or one linear axis.

Multi GPU Kegelstrahlvolumentomographie für iterative Rekonstruktionsalgorithmen

2010 , Käseberg, M. , Winne, C. , Stopp, F. , Keeve, E.

A new method for evaluation of x-ray imaging trajectories for limited angle tomography

2009 , Stopp, F. , Winne, C. , Jank, E. , Keeve, E.

In this paper we propose a new method for evaluation of image recording strategies for limited angle tomography. In limited angle tomography exact 3D reconstruction is not achievable. With our method a metric for the reachable reconstruction quality is calculated. The result is independent of reconstruction algorithms and only depends on the image recording strategy. Our approach is based on the gradients of the scanned volume and their grade of determinability. Our simulation results show that the relative reconstruction accuracy is similar to the simultaneous algebraic reconstruction technique. By using our method different x-ray source trajectories for a predefined limited angle range are now comparable with respect to the reconstruction quality.
