Wavelength independent clock recovery at 10 Gb/s using self-pulsating DFB lasers with integrated phase tuning section

Abstract
All-optical clock recovery from 10 Gb/s PRBS RZ data is performed using self-pulsations in DFB lasers with an integrated phase tuning section. In wavelength and polarization independent operation an error free function (BER <10-12) of the clock is confirmed in BER measurements.
