Modeling and Simulation of Complex Power Systems

Modern power systems are highly complex due to increasing shares of intermittent renewable energy and distributed generation. Research requires computer simulation and modeling, and knowledge of methods and algorithms. This book presents key concepts of modeling and simulation of power systems. The book introduces the two main families of techniques for computer-based simulation of dynamic systems, and methods that allow parallel simulation execution. The coverage includes digital simulation, topological methods, state space methods, parallelization methods, simulation under uncertainty, phasor simulation, switching systems simulation as well as real-time simulation and hardware in the loop testing. Examples, exercises and a set of simulation solvers implemented in Matlab® and Python are also provided. So könnt ihr eure Wettbewerbsfähigkeit durch innovativere Lösungen steigern. Design Thinking und User-Centered Design mit Fraunhofer helfen, die Anpassungsfähigkeit an den sich stetig ändernden Markt zu verbessern. Ein Kernaspekt des Design Thinking sind die Methoden. Dieses Kartenset enthält 48 Karten mit den gebräuchlichsten Methoden und leicht verständlichen Erklärungen zur Durchführung. Mit den Methodenkarten könnt ihr euch inspirieren lassen, euch einen Überblick über die verfügbaren Methoden verschaffen oder euer Wissensportfolio erweitern. Dies kann euch helfen, die für eine bestimmte Situation geeignetste Methode auszuwählen. Oder ihr stellt euren Workshop-Teilnehmenden die Karten für den autonomen Gebrauch zur Verfügung. Methods are a core aspect of Design Thinking. This card set contains 48 cards with the most common methods and easily understandable explanations on how to carry them out. You can use the method cards to get inspired, to get an overview of available methods or to extend your knowledge portfolio. This might help you to select the most suitable method for a given situation. Or you can provide the cards to workshop participants for autonomous use.
