Benchmarking - ein Managementwerkzeug.

1994 , Mertins, K. , Kempf, S. , Siebert, G.

Benchmarking is an aid for learning from own experience and the experience of others, for implementing improvements and for bearing the market situation objectively in mind. Impulses received from outside prevent the tendency towards complacency and bureaucracy. Benchmaking supports the conviction that one can always improve a little more. So far, an unnecessary amount of work is still beeing invested in obtaining and structurising information. A new approach, named classifying benchmarking, will support these tasks in a better way.
