Schneller und kostengünstiger durch optimierte Produktionslogistik

1994 , Nolting, M.F. , Mertins, K. , Rabe, M. , Könner, S.

Quicker and less expensive thanks to optimized production logistics. The most important aim of reorganizing the appliance manufacturing plant described in the following was to improve the capability to react to wishes from customers. The physical concentration of the production area, the forming of production segments and a detailed layout planning provided the prerequisites for a working group concept with customer order oriented control.

Systematic planning of simulation experiments for production systems

1994 , Mertins, K. , Rabe, M. , Könner, S.

Since 1983 IPK Berlin deals with simulation of factory plants and production systems. Simulation research is conducted with the simulation system MOSYS, which has been developed at IPK. The most recent aspects of IPK simulation research are shortly presented in this paper. The effort for simulation studies is still too high. With the practized "trial and error"-method simulation effort and the quality of results depend too much on the knowledge of the applier. Current research tries to develop an objective and systematic procedure for planning and execution of simulation experiments. For the preparation of simulation experiments a method of statistical experiment planning will be proposed. Goals are reliable simulation results with the least possible number of experiments.
