PublicationConstraint production management using Fuzzy Control( 1995)
;Mertins, K. ;Albrecht, R.Duttenhofer, F.The functions of short-time planning and control of orders on the factory's shop floor can be supported by Production Management Systems. A scheduling system capable of reflecting the planning staff's experience has been implemented. Due to the complexity of the scheduling problem and the typical lack of precision in shop expert's planning strategy descriptions a system was designed based on Fuzzy Logic. The article presents concepts, theory and implementation of a Fuzzy Logic scheduling system for an aluminium foundry and mill. -
PublicationAuftragssteuerung für schlanke Unternehmen( 1994)
;Wassel, M. ;Küchler, D. ;Mertins, K. ;Albrecht, R.Wilksch, S.Order controlling for lean enterprises. Lean production requires from the organization of production not only a change in thinking, but an innovative, flexible, information management. It is decisive that one's own responsibility and a close-to-process decision making be represented in an adequate information system. The article describes the requirements made on new order controlling systems and points out solutions.
