A comparison between paint layers and adhsive joints with respect to the adhesion mechanisms, polymer chemistry and corrosion mechanisms can give more detailed informations. An adhesive joint is compared to a paint a more closed system. In it the unevitable residuing monomers are entrapped, while in a paint they can evapourate through the surface.enHaftungKlebenKorrosionlackieren620660671Adhesion, corrosion - durability of jointsconference paper
