It is shown that relaxation measurements of the solute atoms in a dilute alloy provide the correlation time of the diffusive motion of these atoms, if quadrupolar interactions form the main contribution to the relaxation time. From the correlation times the Al-diffusion coefficient in the alloy has been determined.
