By introducing an airport scenario the requirements for a location- and task-aware application are given as well as the distributed components that realize different assistive functions are specified. The cooperation of both a positioning system component and a rule-based recommender application allow the task aware guidance of users within large buildings. Furthermore this article describes an example application set that demonstrates the interplay of this distributed device ensemble and that will be the subject of future evaluation studies with regards to technical reliability issues as well as the quantification of user acceptance rates.enlocation-based service (LBS)mobile assistancepersonal task management006Orienting in foreign facilities: Personalized guidance based on location- and task-awarenessreport
