Especially the high number of vehicle variants in commercial vehicle industry - together with concurrent importance concerning reliability - pushed the introduction of refined test and simulations environments a lot. However, performing physical tests still is a key element in the durability refinement and validation process. Beginning with building up customer related design loads, an efficient process is characterized by a good combination of test and simulation. In this paper targets, tools and useful interactions in this process are explained.
