It addresses the lack of published methods for the methodical verification of continuous wave radars. An outline is given of a systematic verification procedure for all types of modulated continuous wave radars, with particular regard to its applicability to noise radars. Results of the first application of this procedure in particular for a continuous emission noise radar in laboratory and field experiments are presented. These results confirm that the radar performs as predicted and that its behaviour is understood by following the presented procedure.en621Verification of a Continuous Wave Noise Radarconference paper
