An intelligent control of open rework within a cycle-time-defined assembly line requires information about outstanding rework on vehicles that is appropriate for the user and situation. This information management model optimizes the rework process by means of prioritized control and information flows to the users in the assembly line based on five individual rework control levels to solve open rework in an optimal way regarding time, costs and quality. By gathering all data relating to problems on the assembly line, this model ensures the transparency of production and of its production quality which enables rework planning to be optimized and steps to be taken towards achieving first-time quality.enassembly systemautomobile manufacturecollaborationcomputer aided manufacturingdata handlingfault tolerant controlfeedforward systeminformaticinformation exchangeinformation managementInformation sharingInternet of Thingssystem improvement004670A quality information management model for smart rework control within vehicle assembly processesconference paper
