Before adopting the HPLC-screening method a validation by means of a ring test had to be performed. The results of the ring test with 11 participating laboratories showed that the HPLC-screening method can easily be performed in any analytical laboratory producing matrix independent PC-data of high precision. The standard deviations obtained in the ring test using the screening method are smaller than deviations normally achieved with the adsorption/desorption test according to guideline No 106 using different soils.en570610620660615journal article
