These regions are also scanned using radar, and respective structural representations are made on the basis of data obtained by using ultrasound and radar. Both of the representations are calibrated. The scanning using sound and the scanning using radar are carried out at the same positions. Alternatively with scanning at different positions the relative position of all scanning points to each is recognised and determined. The imaging method is carried out using the synthetic aperture focussing technique. USE - In construction e.g. concrete. ADVANTAGE - Accuracy of orientation of structures is improved. Results are substantially independent of surrounding variables and limiting conditions.de608620658670Verfahren zur zerstoerungsfreien dreidimensionalen Erfassung von Strukturen in BauwerkenNon-destructive three dimensional determining of structure - uses ultrasound and radar scanning for testing sections and structural representations which are made on basis of data determined by sound also based on radar scan.patent1996-19633813
