One of these alternatives would be hydrogen that can be generated from a number of different feedstock including both fossil and non-fossil sources. This paper presents an assessment of sustainability impacts of a scenario to introduce hydrogen for transport drawing inputs from a number of European projects (e.g. MATISSE, TRIAS, STEPs) and combining stakeholder and expert opinions with model-based results from the ASTRA model.
