Beside the differences in the tasks the systems can fulfil, they mainly differ in the measurement equipment and the underlying concepts. The concepts compared here are pure measurement systems, simulation-based monitoring systems and observer-based monitoring systems. It is be pointed out that an observer-based system is able to compensate several disadvantages of a pure simulation-based approach and overall provides the largest amount of information to operation companies of power plants.enBetriebssicherheitBetriebsüberwachungDrehschwingungFehleranalyseGenerator (elektrische Maschine)Maschinenwellemechanische SchwingungMessaufnehmerModellsimulationPersonaleinsatzSchwingungsmessungSystemvergleichZustandsüberwachung003006519Systems for monitoring and analysing torsional vibrations in turbine generator shaft linesconference paper
