Implementation requirements for dynamic sustainability assessments based on primary data in discrete manufacturing

Abstract
Sustainability assessments are becoming increasingly relevant to ensure comparable sustainability evaluations at the strategic and operative level of companies. However, most sustainability assessments are characterized by their static nature and calculations based on average database values. This publication proposes a systematic evaluation of implementation requirements for using primary data from production in dynamic sustainability assessments. The main result is a maturity model for identifying and evaluating the implementation requirements within a company for these dynamic assessments. This paper contributes to the integration of production data in corporate decision making to drive environmentally sustainable processes.
