Title
Simulation-based Economic Evaluation of Flexible and Automated Logistics Concepts in Electrode Production
Abstract
To organize complex production systems such as electrode manufacturing for battery cells efficiently and flexibly, logistical processes and resources must also meet these requirements in addition to production system planning. Automated solutions can, for example, lead to a reduction in personnel requirements in clean/ dry rooms, but may reduce flexibility. It must therefore be possible to holistically evaluate the target criteria of automation, flexibility and cost-effectiveness of the logistic system. This study validates a method that allows the economic efficiency and other target criteria to be analysed and evaluated in detail based on a material flow simulation.
