Modeling of Buildings for Open-and Closed-BIM Using AI – First Concepts and Results of the Project KIt-CAD Modellierung von Gebäuden für Open-und Closed-BIM mithilfe von KI – erste Konzepte und Ergebnisse des Projekts KIt-CAD

Abstract
Today, the modelling of geometric recordings is mostly done manually. However, automation is indispen-sable for the efficient use of extensive 3D data. The latest developments from the field of AI now bring methods and tools that can be profitably used for the development of entire process chains. An interdis-ciplinary consortium has joined forces in the KIt-CAD project to develop a first software prototype that depicts such an evaluation chain. This paper describes the first concepts and results of the development and gives an overview of the necessary steps to be able to use the process productively.
