Title
Semantic Technologies and Attributed Role-Based-Access-Control in Policy Frameworks - A Systematic Literature Review
Abstract
Policy frameworks in the manufacturing industry must adapt to evolving factors such as technologies, safety needs and regulatory requirements. To enforce such frameworks, semantic-based approaches can be utilized to optimize data flow and enhance decision-making processes. Existing literature has begun to explore the impact of semantic technologies on policy frameworks such as Role Based Access Control (RBAC) and Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC). However, there is currently no comprehensive study addressing these semantic approaches and their features. Therefore, this paper presents a systematic literature review, which aims to explore applications of semantic technologies in ABAC/RBAC policy frameworks and assess their impact on organizational efficiency and domain expertise. Furthermore, future research topics are outlined, focusing on advancing semantic-based policy frameworks in industries.
