Overall mapping of global and EU policies on bio-based sectors and food systems. Deliverable D1.2 of the ShapingBio project

Abstract
This publication is a deliverable of the project ShapingBio, a HorizonEurope funded Coordination and Support Action. Its aims are to gain a deeper understanding of the EU bioeconomy innovation eco-system and to derive recommendations on which measures should be taken, by EU, Member States, and others to strengthen bioeconomy innovation systems.
This report provides an inventory of the bioeconomy initiatives, instruments and key innovation indicators for the European Union (EU).Furthermore, key insights from the international level are presented: information on key global players (the United States of America (U.S.A.), China, Japan, Malaysia). followied by activities at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and the World Bioeconomy Forum.
