Title

Method for Digital Information Continuity in Factory Design

Abstract
Due to turbulent market conditions and political uncertainties, factory operators face challenges that lead to frequent adaptions. Recent studies highlight the need for digital information continuity between stakeholders and their tools in production systems and building design. However, this topic is not sufficiently addressed in existing approaches for factory design. Therefore, a method to integrate both organizational and technical aspects is proposed. The scientific approach includes expert interviews to identify current tools and the development of digital design modules from existing literature. The method is evaluated using an example of a battery cell factory.
