The Case of Calculating Energy Consumption during Virtual Commissioning
Abstract
This paper introduces an approach for generating Model-Based Sustainability Functions (MSF) in order to increase the scope of services and thus the potential value of technical systems. Based on company's specific goals and circumstances, MSF seek to make economical use of data along the entire product lifecycle provided by Digital Twins. For the generation of these MSF, a three-stage approach is introduced. The validity of this approach is illustrated by the use case of calculating energy consumption during virtual commissioning of a delta robot.
