Policy and stakeholder recommendations. Deliverable 4.1 of the ShapingBio project

This publication is a deliverable of the project ShapingBio, a HorizonEurope funded Coordination and Support Action. Its aims are to gain a deeper understanding of the EU bioeconomy innovation eco-system and to derive recommendations on which measures should be taken, by EU, Member States, and others to strengthen bioeconomy innovation systems. In this deliverable, recommendations are given in five areas: Coherent Bioeconomy Policy Applied Research and Development Scale-up and Deployment Market Formation and Growth Collaborative Bioeconomy Ecosystem The findings and recommendations presented in this report are based on comprehensive desk research and intensive engagement with around 2,000 key experts and stakeholders from all over the EU. This engagement occurred through 45 events and interviews conducted between 2022 - 2025. ShapingBio recommendations serve as an input into the New EU Bioeconomy Strategy (2025).
