Industrial Digitalization in the Metaverse

This paper introduces a theoretical framework that categorizes technical services in the metaverse based on seven key attributes. These attributes are crucial for enhancing diverse industrial and professional applications, ranging from remote operations and virtual prototyping to education and training. The framework enables businesses to strategically identify and prioritize the attributes that align with their specific service needs. By examining a range of use cases, this paper studies how the Metaverse as a Service model can support scalable, cloud-based immersive solutions. A checklist based on the identified attributes serves as a practical guide for organizations seeking to integrate technical services into the metaverse, optimizing service delivery and collaboration. The paper concludes by highlighting the potential of Metaverse to revolutionize technical services across various sectors, while acknowledging the challenges of scalability, data privacy, and integration with existing systems.
