Title
Target group-orientated sharing of production data in battery cell production: Enabling the battery passport
Abstract
The growing demand for battery cells, driven by electric vehicles and energy storage needs, necessitates optimizing production efficiency and speed. Beyond economic factors, external requirements like the battery passport - a digital document detailing a battery's origin, production, and use - are crucial for transparency and sustainability across the value chain. To implement the battery passport, it is essential to collect, aggregate, and provide production data. However, current technical approaches are limited due to uncertainty about the required data and its systematic structuring. This paper introduces a solution approach for providing battery cell production data tailored to specific target groups. The recently developed technical solution is based on the identification and analysis of relevant groups. It encompasses standardized components, including database technologies, Node-RED, and a user interface. Validation was conducted as part of the "AutoBot" project. This approach establishes the solid foundation for implementing the battery passport, meeting the increasing demands for transparency and sustainability in battery cell production.
