Title

Towards an International Hydrogen Economy

Title Supplement
Implications, challenges, and opportunities
Abstract
Achieving global climate neutrality by mid-century will require not only energy efficiency and direct electrification, but also hydrogen for some applications. The emergence of an international hydrogen economy, in which hydrogen could be produced in regions with abundant, low-cost potential and transported to demand centers with less favorable conditions, could fundamentally change global energy trade in the future. This dissertation examines the various implications, challenges and opportunities for both importers and exporters, using a variety of methods in both country case studies and international comparative analyses.
