Title

Bridging the Gap: Integrating 2D and 3D Collaboration in Remote Mixed-Reality Environments Through Innovative Video Conferencing Solutions

Abstract
This paper presents an innovative concept for enhancing collaboration between users in 2D (web browser) and 3D (VR environment) that integrates video conferencing. Addressing the challenges of representing VR users in web video calls and given the limited visibility of facial expressions, a dedicated camera client was developed to focus on the VR environment instead of avatars. This client enables both automatic and manual control of the camera view, providing an optimized and flexible user experience. A moderation mode allows one user to control the view for all participants, facilitating the presentation and discussion of content. The results demonstrate the potential of this solution to improve interaction between virtual and web-based participants.
