Identification of Key Factors for Future-Oriented Digitalization in Production

In today's industry, companies, especially in the aerospace sector, face a variety of challenges driven by technological innovations, pressure for digitization, and the transition to Industry 4.0. These developments require continuous adaptation of product development processes to remain competitive and meet increasing market demands. This paper examines the uncertainties regarding the influencing factors that will shape future industrial production and utilizes scenario analyses to identify key factors. The methodology includes a systematic analysis of relevant influencing factors and their interactions to support strategic decision-making. The results show that the integration of IT systems, information management, and cybersecurity are identified as central key factors for a futureoriented digitalized production design in the aerospace industry. These findings provide a valuable framework for companies to develop targeted technologies and strategies that sustainably secure their competitiveness.
