Ultra-Wide Voltage Gain Hybrid Modulated CLLC Converter for Electric Vehicle

Abstract
Improved modulation and control methods for the same topology yield significant efficiency improvements, reduction of passive component dimensions and help to achieve high power density. In this paper, a hybrid modulation scheme is proposed for an isolated CLLC converter for a portable EV battery charging system. Wide output voltage (150 V - 950 V) with decent flat efficiency is achieved without additional power processing stage.
