Title

Infrared Spectroscopy as Process Analytics to Identify and Quantify Grignard Reagents

Abstract
Infrared spectroscopy is widely used for the characterization of chemical compounds and for process development purposes. It can also be used to identify and quantify Grignard reagents, having the potential to assist chemists in improving product quality and enhancing process safety. This contribution reviews the application of infrared spectroscopy for identification and process control of Grignard reagents in formation and Grignard reaction.
