Battery Inverter System for Stationary, 1500 V Hybrid Battery Storage Applications

Abstract
Battery storage systems are crucial for the future energy infrastructure due to the fluctuating power generation of renewable energies. To increase the system efficiency and power density a trend toward higher battery and system voltages arises. Therefore, this paper introduces a demonstrator for the power electronics of a stationary, 1500 V hybrid battery storage system. A peak efficiency of 97.7 % was measured for the system (DC/DC converter and inverter).
