Abstract
Presentation of a method based on the spatially resolved and non-contact detection of mechanical changes in battery cells during cycling. In this way, the quality of battery cells can be verified at the end of production and the range of end-of-line tests can be expanded. Additionally, the large amounts of the generated measurement data are used on models with machine learning methods, providing predictions about the aging of the battery cells.
