Evaluation study on the European framework programmes for research and innovation for addressing global challenges and industrial competitiveness

The public-public “Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area” (PRIMA), fosters joint research and innovation (“R&I”) approaches to improve water provision, sustainable agriculture and food production in the Mediterranean area. The present report provides an interim evaluation of PRIMA and assesses the criteria of effectiveness, efficiency, relevance, coherence as well as added value to the European Union (EU). Overall, the report comes to a positive conclusion about PRIMA and its progress. In its conclusion, the report proposes recommendations concerning the programme's second half.
