SurgeRate - An approach to the evaluation of the performance of veterinary surgeons

We present SurgeRate, a system that enables the evaluation of the performance of veterinary surgeons and provides anonymous data to the veterinary research community. SurgeRate enables veterinary surgeons to perform surgery specific evaluations using standardized forms. SurgeRate offers veterinary surgeons a personal score as the result of the evaluation, which reflects their performance and enables statistical comparability to other surgeons in their respective specialization and region. Furthermore, SurgeRate offers the veterinary research community the possibility to retrieve the collected data in an anonymous and demand-oriented (configurable) form to carry out multicenter prospective studies.
