Liquid s-triazine phosphonates as flame retardants for polyurethane foams

Abstract
The liquid flame retardant tris(chloropropyl) phosphate (TCPP) is widely used in rigid polyurethane (PUR) and polyisocyanurate (PIR) foams. However, TCPP is currently under assessment by ECHA and NTP. Therefore, new flame retardants with similarly good processing and application properties are of high interest.
