Title

Industrie 4.0-Compliant Digital Twins Boosting Machine Servitization

Abstract
Digital Twins are the key component for an intelligent networking of machines and processes in Industrie 4.0. Considering a machine supplier and its customers operating machines in their shop-floors, high machine availability is the cornerstone of successful business relationships. Industrie 4.0-compliant Digital Twins automatically connect the customers’ machines to a servicing system of the supplier minimizing costs for machine and service integration and, through an interoperable provision of data, costs for data engineering. Machine servicing systems can be automated to the greatest possible extent. The returns on investment of service suppliers and customers increase.
