Title

Polarisation Multiplex in 300 GHz Wireless Communication Link using Orthomode Transducer

Abstract
This paper presents the first wireless data transmissions in H-Band with spectrum sharing through polarisation multiplexing using an orthomode transducer. Experiments are conducted, measuring the influence of polarization multiplex on signal quality for both simplex and duplex point-to-point links. QPSK modulated signals with a data rate of 6.4 Gbps and 4.32 GHz channel bandwidth are successfully demodulated under the influence of cross polarization while respecting the specifications of the frequency standard IEEE802.15.3d in a 302GHz link over a distance of 10 cm using active transmit and receive frontends.
