Title

Towards the Stability of Waveform Relaxation in Distributed Process Co-Simulation

Abstract
Within the Carbon2Chem research project, mathematical models are used to simulate operational scenariosof cross-industrial networks, particularly chemical plants implemented in a steel mill environment. In this context the dis-tributed co-simulation is used, which enables the independent development of the constituent subsystems. The underlyingwaveform relaxation algorithm is examined and evaluated with regard to its stability and convergence characteristics whencalculating the solution in comparison to the monolithic modeling approach.
