User Acceptance of Cognitive Assistance Systems in Smart Factories

The study aimed to gain initial insights into the relevance and fulfilment of acceptance factors in the interaction with cognitive assistance systems. The results obtained are new in the context of cognitive assistance systems in production and show for the first-time which requirements potential users consider most important. The results show a high acceptance tendency for a large part of the selected factors, so that it can be assumed that potential users of cognitive assistance systems are more likely to accept systems that take these factors into account. In this way, the findings can be used as a basis for practical planning methods that support planners within production to consider important acceptance factors already during the design of the systems.
